How We Met

The happy couple met when Jess was really bad at flirting...

Actually, Tom and Jess met at the College of Saint Rose in the Fall of 2006. Tom was a freshman, Jess was...older than that. After hanging out for three years, both pining after different, inappropriate people; the two began working together on a certain, infamous (not famous) sketch comedy podcast in September of 2008. A few weeks later, Tess (see "The Companions") arranged a surprise party for Jess' [redacted] birthday. It was there that the couple:

  1. Made dirty jokes at each other,
  2. Offered one a cigarette (neither smoke),
  3. Monkee-walked in the parking lot,
  4. Were a little too adamant about being "Just Friends,"
  5. Saved Tess from a crazy Irishman,
  6. Gave and received head massages,
  7. ...and generally acted like lovesick children until Tom walked Jess home.

So, it was to the surprise of absolutely no one when they came out as a couple three weeks later ("I thought we were being so discreet!" - Jess).

Our story isn't exactly romantic...or mature, but we wouldn't want it any other way.

I'm glad you asked! We will be getting married right at the gazebo in City Park at Maple Street in Glens Falls, NY. Below, we've embedded a Google Map - you can get an overhead look at the location, look up directions and print right from the website. Pretty nifty, 'eh?

Is there anyplace to stay in Glens Falls?

Absolutely! Below you will find another custom Google Map with locations for many local hotels, plus a couple of recreational ideas, in case you want to make a weekend of it! Clicking on any pin will bring up directions, reviews and links to their website to make a reservation. Please keep in mind that the listed hotels range from national chains to mom-and-pop independents, so your milage may vary. No endorsement is intended.

P.S. - We are staying at the Queensbury Hotel and have reserved a block of rooms. If you are lucky enough, you could catch a discount. Just mention the Tugas/Neeson party when you reserve your room. Good luck!

Wait! Don't leave yet!

We just have a couple more requests before you go!

We love fondue pots. We really do. They're great in the event of a hurricane...or seven. But we have three of them already. In lieu of housewarming items, please consider visiting our house fund registry at Hatch My House. We have an itty-bitty apartment that we'd like to move up from in the next year or two - you can be part of that change! That being said, if you like to give stuff - we love stuff! - check out the registry links in the footer below.

Make sure to have your RSVP cards in by 4.15.2013. If you can't get it in the mail by then, go ahead and use the RSVP form below

Finally, please make sure to tag any Instagram wedding photos as #jessandtompigroast. They will show up in our "More Pictures!" feed!
